Ekaina

Bizitza osoak
Ezin du gainditu “ekaina”
Ekainean nire bihotza hil zen
Hil zen nire olerkia
Nire maitalea
Ere hil zen odol laku erromantikoan

Ekainean eguzki bortitzak larru irekia erretzen dit
Zauriaren errealitatea erakutsiz
Ekainean arrainak itsaso odol gorria uzten du
Hibernatze beste toki baterantz igerika
Ekainean lurra desitxuraturik, ibaia isilik
Pilaturiko gutunak hildakoari ez dago bidaltzerik

Translated to Basque from Chinese by Iñaki Martinez Salazar.

Iñaki Martinez Salazar received his Bachelor in French Philology 1978 and has started as a teacher of the Basque language at the University of the Basque Country 1979. He  first traveled to China in 1991 to study Chinese. Interested in Asian and Caucasian languages.

The poem is read by Laura Mintegi, President of the Basque PEN.
