Junio

Toda mi vida
no conseguirá pasar más allá del junio.

En junio se detuvo mi corazón.
Concluyó mi poesía,
y murió mi amante
en la laguna de sangre
de amor.

En junio, un sol abrasador me abre la piel
y revela la verdadera naturaleza de mi herida.

En junio el pez salta del mar rojo sangre
para hibernar, en otro lugar.

En junio, la tierra se altera y los ríos callan.

Montones de cartas
que no se pueden entregar a los muertos.

Translated to Castilian Spanish by Luis Ignacio Larcada, poet and narrator, with the help of other members from Cuban PEN Club in Exile. The translation was made from the English translation by Chip Rolley of Sydney PEN.

Luis Ignacio Larcada is a poet and narrator. He is also the official interpreter/translator of the 11th Judicial District of the United States of America, in and at the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
